About me
Welcome! My name is Neda Dowlatshahi, and I am based in Carrboro, North Carolina. I founded Nafas Wellness to share practices I have learned—and continue to learn—through my life’s journey, rooted in breath, movement, and mindful presence.

I hold a Master’s degree in Public Health and am a certified Hatha and Perinatal Yoga teacher. My training includes Hatha Yoga with Sivananda Yoga in Rishikesh, India (200-hour), as well as training in Chapel Hill, North Carolina with Thousand Petals Yoga (200-hour) and Whole Mama Yoga (85-hour). I have also studied Thai massage in Lamu, Thailand, Ayurveda in Rishikesh, India, and completed three 10-day Vipassana meditation courses in Myanmar, Nepal, and Delaware.

Travel has been a central part of my life, and I have lived across several continents. I speak fluent French, conversational Persian, and basic Spanish and Creole, allowing me to adapt to a range of communication needs.

And finally, I am a mother to a dynamic toddler, a role that continues to shape my understanding of care, patience, and presence.

Wellness work is my true joy, and it would be an honor to support you on your path toward greater well-being.
